In a recent interview with Collider, Solid Snake’s voice actor David Hayter revealed some information about why the Metal Gear Solid movie he had pitched awhile back didn’t work out. He also hints at what might be in store for MGS fans in the future. Click continue for the video interview!
What do you folks think? I personally can’t see anybody besides the voice of Snake himself playing the lead character, but who knows? Who would you cast for the parts of Raiden, Snake, Ocelot, Otacon, etc?

Great video Tim, I love Hayter. If anyone should play snake it should be him, he can act in a game, I’m sure with make up he could look like snake and act as well.
Yea it’s tough to see Hollywood wanting to put someone in that’s a actor with experience but who can do Snakes voice like Hayter, not many.
Hayter actually has experience acting as well, so I don’t know why they don’t just have him do it. Maybe he doesn’t want to?
Hayter has writing experience, and as an extra in X2? It’s possible he’s not 100% confident, and doesn’t want to ruin his life’s work. Honestly, if they could do a well done dub of Hayter onto Christian Bale with the MGS1 plot, I would love it.
HA! Christian Bale with Hayter’s voice? YES! They should do that just in general. That would be amazing. Just to have Christian Bale live his life with Hayter’s voice. My life would then be complete.
