l4dhordeCome this spring, Valve will sink it’s blood stained, diseased teeth into Left 4 Dead users on PC and 360,  spreading a DLC infection.  So if your Left 4 Dead experience is starting to feel about as fresh as a bloated, rotting corpse in the July sun, this DLC may be just what you need to resurrect the game’s lastability.

The “Survival Pack” DLC is coming in the form of two new “Versus Mode” maps, and an all new multiplayer mode called “Survival.”  Whether these new Versus Mode maps will simply be playable versions of “Dead Air” and “Death Toll,” or altogether original maps has yet to be determined.  Additionally, details on the “Survival Mode” are scarce, but perhaps it will encourage the survivors to act as individuals rather than a cooperative team to add a independent spice to the gameplay?

In the past Valve has updated the PC versions of its games at no cost to the customer.  However, with Microsoft’s strict policies for Xbox purchases any hope for free Left 4 Dead DLC for Xbox users is most likely dead in the water.

Anybody looking forward the new game mode and versus maps?  Hoping for any new weapons to be added to the arsenal?  Discuss!

  1. I am very excited about this DLC. Survival Mode sounds great, I can’t wait to here all the details about it. I wonder what the price tag is going to be for this?

  2. I am willing to bet that Valve will push to have it be as affordable as possible for 360 users.

YES! This is going to be awesome!

  4. I doubt it Tim, it’s a developer that wants money like any great developer.

  5. Valve is one of the more selfless developers, you gotta admit.

  6. Oh yea that’s for sure, I know they’ll fight MSto get their content out for free, lets hope MS is not too greedy.

  7. I’m gonna be pretty pissed off if the two versus maps are just gonna be ”Dead Air” and ”Death Toll”
If that happens, then Survival mode better be good, or else this will be a pretty boring pack.
