Viral marketing has just hit new lows, to promote F.E.A.R 2 the advertising agency ‘Mischief‘ has taken to walking black cats around London to stir up the superstitious.

“Unlucky for some it’s Friday 13th this week, and to mark the occasion we’re launching a new horror video game with the world’s first ‘superstitious ad campaign’ – turning specially trained black cats into walking adverts for the launch of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin on the day itself.
Apparently people are extra vigilant about looking out for signs of bad luck on Friday 13th, so on that day a team of black cats (a traditional sign of bad luck) dressed in little F.E.A.R 2 branded jackets and cat harnesses, will hit the streets of London with their trainers and hopefully they will capture the attention of superstitious shoppers.”
The cats will be prowling the streets of London tomorrow, Friday the 13th, so fortunately they have given dog owners ample warning to also get into streets for a pleasent friday dog walk.
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin was released February 11 in the US of A, and is getting released tomorrow in Australia and Europe.
I would buy FEAR 2 if one of those sweet cats came with it.
