Less than a month after its release on Xbox live, Twisted Pixel Games is unleashing a “deleted scene” level to satiate your palate.  The level features new “brutes,” which are bounty hunters attempting to capture Frank and Maw.  The heroes utilize the juggernaut-like power of the Beetle and the floaty blimpiness of the Gastro to out maneuver their enemies in the new level.  Two more DLC levels are planned to release in the future.

The DLC is releasing for a measley 100 microsoft points, so affording the level isn’t too big of an issue.  What might not be worth it for some gamers is the concept of buying a “deleted scene” for a game that could be completed in four hours, and thats if you take your time.  One of the main gripes reviewers had with the game was its short length, and thus these extra levels could have helped the scores a bit.  If it was a file size issue, then they could have made the DLC free.

Oh well, it seems that the premeditated DLC train is approaching full speed, so expecting every company to be as generous as Valve is probably asking too much.  Has anybody played this game and fallen in love with it enough to purchase new levels?

  1. This is really, really bad. That means it was already in development before the game was even released. In fact, I remember the even publicly announced it before the game was out!
