I don’t think I’ve ever seen this before. Gamestop is giving a “gaming guarantee” for Resident Evil 5. If you aren’t satisfied with RE5 within one week of purchase, you can return it for full trade-in credit. This is a win-win for both Gamestop and consumers. Gamestop gives you trade-in credit, that you use to purchase more products, and they simply sell the used copy of RE5 for $55. Consumers get to “rent” RE5 for a week then return it (Hint: Say you don’t like the controls). Hit the jump for the full advertisement.

Personally, I don’t trade in AAA titles. The co-op alone is enough for me to keep if even if I’m not 100% satisfied. Does this sound like a cool idea to you guys? Would you be willing to take advantage of this offer if you aren’t planning on buying Resident Evil 5? Do Canadian retailers usually do cool stuff like this?
