To kukurukuku, who said that making 3D games are cheaper than 2D games...are you for real? I don't think you know anything about making games.

The point of arguing about defining white is to find an undisputed defined.

Color can refer to light wavelength reflected from an objects surface. In this case, you can say that white and black are not 'colors' because they are not independently associated with a wavelength, ROYGBV. But, in this case, if you say that white is not a color but red is, then is pink only half a color?

Another way people use the term 'color' is merely as a reference to the quality of light reflected, but in terms of a unique combination of hue, saturation, and brightness, or by some other color formula (RBG, CMYK). Here, a color is simply defined by the uniqueness of the appearance of the combination. White is a color defined as full brightness or full R, G, and B, and so on. Seeing as how this is the common, colloquially usage of the word, when someone asks you to hand them a white crayon, you can either hand then the white crayon if you like to do the obvious, or you can say "white isn't a color" if you are an asshat.

@Kemist

I like it how people engage in pointless arguments about defining white.
As for your 'being both a scientist and an artist and therefore must tell you that white is all the colors', I would like to inform you that nobody cares whether or not white is really a color.

But remember: We have color TV and B&W TV. There's a reason why B&W TV isn't considered color TV.

I personally liked the mario pictures. Though involving 3D into the gameplay and not only the graphics (as seen in intro picture) would ruin the game, in my opinion.

100% love the idea of doing 2D some justice. Only one comment irked me since I am both an artist and a scientist. White is all of the color spectrum reflected back. Black is something that has absorbed all color spectrum. And as for white being a "shade"... really? Shade implies shadow which has nothing to do with 2D and everything to do with 3D. And real artist generally refer to different gradations of the same color it's "value". Shading is something 6th grade art teachers make you do.

Just my 0.02$

for all who are complaining about photo editing, i hope you realize many artists draw with physical means (paint, pens, etc) then go back and refine it with photoshop. it's perfectly ok, and just because you hear the word photoshop doesnt mean they stole it from someone else.
now then, i liked pretty much all of them, although the legend of zelda one stood out to me because i LOVED that series. however, that one and the megaman one seem a little too dark and gloomy. there's just too much gray in the megaman one, and even if thats how it was meant to be, i think there should be something that pops out.
