Recently IGN has been posting specs for the rumored upcoming of the PSP2. One such article at the site suggests the next PSP would have touch-screen technology, a sleeker design, a built in hard drive, and dual analog sticks.
Well, it seems like Sony was not entirely keen on these rumors and had a few choice words in response:
“Clearly, being a quiet time of year, many, what we thought to be credible websites, are making up stories about PSP2, and how it allows you to teleport across the globe, travel through time, and will be powered by the horns of baby rhinoceroses. Hopefully, you can sense a mild tone of sarcasm, which should hopefully indicate how ‘on the money’ IGN are. Needless to say, we don’t comment on rumour or speculation, but this is nonsense.”
Usually when a company denies rumors this vigorously, it’s because the speculation is hitting a little too close to home. It also begs the question, what the hell am I going to do with all these dead baby rhinoceroses?

Well what do you folks think about Sony’s denial of these rumors? Do you think that this amazing dream PSP would be enough to help Sony out, or would the new hardware simply die due to a lack of decent games?
Oooo if it includes baby rhinoceroses I am so in! Sign me up!
The thing is, unlike the DS, the PSP does not sport any revolutionary technology. Let’s put aside the media player aspect of the Portable – because a DS can emulate such functions with an SD Card add-on. Sony has been giving PSP users toned down games avaliable on the PS3 and going off that, I don’t think it will be enough to keep this is such high demand.
Me neither. The DS is a far superior system. Honestly, I know this may sound bad… but people should just stop trying to debunk Nintendo’s handheld supremacy
