Good news for arcade fans all around! Earlier today we announced the arrival of Popcap games to the PSN. Now, Namco is bringing it’s classic heavy hitters to Playstation Home. In addition the classic shooter Xevious (which is redone in 3-D and HD), also included are Galaga, Pac-man, Digdug and Dragon Spirit. Before you jump for joy, the games aren’t free, you have to buy the newly released Namco Arcade to play them in Home.

This is really good news for arcade enthusiasts, and Playstation 3 owners who haven’t ever used Home. While I found the Redbull Plane game really fun, I have a ton of games that I have to play right now. However, with the advent of the Namco Arcade, and the ESPN Dome, I think I’ll be spending a lot of time in Home. Personally, if Home keeps getting browser-type games, and classic arcade games, it’ll be an awesome, free, gaming hangout. There isn’t a 100% confirmation on whether or not these will be in the states soon, but Japan’s Playstation Home will be getting these soon.
