Released today is the latest trailer for House of the Dead: Overkill, which is the 8th spinoff from the House of the Dead series, check out the GrindHouse-esque trailer below.
EA is still releasing a free Mirror’s Edge level for PS3 owners, on January 29th. The surreal level is called “Synesthesia” and attempts to break the mold of city-running locales. Hit the jump for a quick look at what’s in the non-free level pack, and a video of what the new content will look like.

Hideo Kojima made headlines by announcing “15 films that influenced the Metal Gear Solid series”. Some of the chosen movies range from obvious (Goldfinger) to obscure (Bourne Identity), but fear not readers! The Devil May Cry franchise reinvigorated the action adventure genre when it was first released in 2001 for the Playstation 2. Dante, the title character, is not by any means an orthodox hero. He is the son of a demon, and his story is motivated by revenge for his mother’s death. The main gameplay premise that sets Devil May Cry apart from its predecessors is the ability to become a “stylish hero”, meaning sometimes using moves that aren’t practical, just to look good. Devil May Cry 4, released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, seeks to uphold the series’ legacy. Read on to find out if it succeeded.

A demo has recently been made available for F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin, the sequel to the critically acclaimed F.E.A.R. The demo takes you through one level with a chilling and creepy layout and features a collection of weapons which are available for both singleplayer and multiplayer game modes.
