In total this thread holds 4 FAQ’s and 1, 5-page spread guide on multiplayer. I have made adjustments to them since I originally posted them.

All FAQ’s and Guides created by SwiftViolet, tips and tactics were created by you; the R6V2 Community.

Before you purchase the game FAQ

A small FAQ answering some of the questions that new buyers might have. (people who are looking to buy R6V2)

(Created to help future-R6V2 Owners)

Q: What is the community like?

A: The community is very unique and there are 2 main groups. The majority are particularly nice people who play for fun and try to help when they can. The other group is the immature people as I call them; basically very childish; playing the game to win and only care about themselves. Although it’s not a good answer its one of the best you will get without any swear words in if your reading this FAQ then your hanging out with the helpful bunch who play for fun and try to help people

Q: I’m thinking about getting this game but I remember Vegas 1; will I get kicked for having a low rank?

A: Yes and No, it depends on what server you join; most people know that rank is meaningless but you do get silly people who kick people with a low rank because of their limited knowledge of the game. Remember; you can rank up in single player as well so if you get kicked from games; you can gain a few ranks in single player then go back to multiplayer

Q: What price is this game now?

A: This game is pretty cheap. Around where I live I could purchase this game pre-owned for around £22.00, not too bad. The current pre-owned price in the US is around $40.00; if your reading this a few weeks after I posted the price will be much less. It’s worth your hard earned money.

Q: I prefer single player; does this game have good single player?

A: It’s a fun experience; story mode is neat and fun to play; but without the proper back-story from Vegas 1 or the tom Clancy books it can become confusing. The other single player mode is Terrorist-Hunt, now that is fun (especially in co-op) but generally this game shines in the multiplayer aspect. Single player can be a letdown.

Q: How hard is it to master this game?

A: Very hard. This game mainly attracts hardcore Vegas 1 fans; there’s a lot of good players online and at first you will feel out of place and you will always get outgunned; it happens with every game. All you can do is suck it up and practice and try and learn. Once you get the practice in this game can be very rewarding when you get kills. Check out the rest of this thread; it houses some valuable FAQ’s

Q: Vegas 1 was renowned for the amount of glitches; is this game the same?

A: No; in Vegas 1 there was a glitch at every corner; although in this game you will still come across the wall glitches; you won’t see many major glitches that ruin gameplay (unless you look hard for them)

Q: I enjoy gaining ranks and have fun unlocking new items; games like Cod4 really appeal to me – how does this game fair?

A: Vegas 1 started off the whole ranking and unlockables culture and this game carries on the tradition and takes it to a whole new level. This game has over 110 ranks (Tallying up to 14.5 million Xp for the highest rank!) and there’s around 20-30 unlockable items and weapons in the game; it’s really fun and rewarding to get new items.

Q: Online modes and maps? Will I be playing this for a long time and what game relates to it best?

A: This game has 16+ online multiplayer maps including free DLC; each one unique and fun in its own way. There are 5+ multiplayer modes (if you include sub-modes like survival) and each map is tailored towards a certain mode, it’s really fun and the amount of depth in multiplayer is unique compared to other mainstream popular FPS shooters.

Q: Is this game being supported?

A: This game is being supported and it shows; it’s a totally different game than launch and it’s so much fun. We generally get a update every two or three months and these patches bring new additions to the game, tweaks and fixes. DLC is also a future prospect; we got a free DLC pack a month ago giving us the legendary calypso casino and 2 remakes of current vegas 2 maps. So yes; this game is being supported.

Q: I would consider myself a “loner” on the world of XBL; I like to play online but I don’t have many friends that play R6V2; what is the experience like and will I enjoy playing against random players?

A: This game is best if you got friends; it’s difficult to find a good server online with a decent host and decent people; if you have friends playing this game it enhances the experience.

    Awesome guide, thanks a lot!

…I’ve already improved my skill by moving away from the famas!

  2. Thanks, it took a good 1 and half to put up.

I’m glad you’re finding it useful.

  3. avatar Hunter

Heh, I’m constantly coming back to it – there are so many things I didn’t know (silencer’s increase accuary, reduce damage for example).

…my thanks seems a little weak compared to the sheer scale of this guide and the time put in to it.

  4. Oh no, you don’t have to thank, it’s part of our site to help people in any way possible, your thanks is appreciated, but not necessary, it’s what we do here is help. hehe.

Are you getting better at the game at least now? I was never good at it.

  5. avatar Hunter

    A little better, yes.
As you said in the guide, it’s up to me to find my playing style, this guide helps with the little features – the things I didn’t know, but can now take advantage of.

“Are you getting better at the game at least now? I was never good at it.”
    That’s encouraging!
