PS3's Home will be a giant Success. I am in the closed beta and love it. After the loss of the 360 in the format war, the fail of NXE, and the largest system failure of any console in gaming history, i think all you little Xbox fanboys should be worried.

What does NXE have to do with success?

Microsoft didn't make it to impress they developed it for a different look and feel, for the dashboard to be more alive.

MS is smart by not wanting to make their console a sims replica. Consoles are suppose to be for entertainment, as in watching movies, playing music and gaming. Not some social place where you spend 8 hours a day pretending like you're picking up a girl in a virtual mall.

Please post smart, not out of your love for the competition.

As far as Home goes, I think that Sony will be happy with the results, as I think many people including my self will have a lot of fun in Home. It's definitely a great concept, and just like MS they are giving people an extra feature to play around with, they don't care for it's success there is nothing to succeed in just like with the NXE it's a required update that will be a part of our console. Whether we like it or not.

I'm pretty sure that Home will be more of a success than the NXE was anyway.

After all.....Home won't come with a bug that gives 80% of PS3's the Red Light Of Death!

Microsoft should've stuck to making PC software.....they try to actually build a piece of hardware and look what happens! Is there a SINGLE Xbox 360 owner who HASN'T had their 360 blow up in their face??? I thought not.............

hey i thought of this same exact idea on an internet forum about 2 months ago. I said that when your ps3 starts it should automatically go into Home and make Home an actual part of the UI.

That will be soooo much better than Microsoft's gay "Xbox Experience"

Everybody commenting here sounds like the entire fate of the PS3 system rests upon whether or not Home succeeds. Personally, I think home will be a nice addition to the system but it will not determine the consoles outcome.

I think Home will be just another application that is available, making the PS3 unique. For example I think Life with Playstation is a cool app but I do not use it everyday. I also rarely use the picture and music functions available on the system but they are there anytime I want to use them. People can also video chat with friends on the PS3 but I will likely never do along with many others. Just because I do not use these functions does not mean that others will also avoid using them. The same will hold true for Home. Some people will use the application all the time, and others, like me will use it on occasion. BUT THAT DOES NOT THE MEAN THE PS3 IS DOOMED. Nonetheless, I look forward to creating my avatar and personnel space in Home when it is released.

@Steve: Technically Amphlett was right. You are = you're.

Regardless, take it easy guys. No need need to fight over poor grammar. It's just the internet.

I think you'll find your comment should read "You're an idiot, Home will fail.". Is English your fist language?
