“Halo? That’s like a shooting game, right?”
Generally whenever one of the guys (or gals) over at Bungie decides to speak out on topics ranging from Halo to ideal weather for dog walking, the internet will nearly collapse under the weight of Halo fans worldwide clamoring for any tidbits of information they can find regarding their favorite series and it’s creators…and their dogs.
Today was no different as a leaked Gameplayer interview with Bungie’s Joe Staten found it’s way online.
According to Staten, the upcoming Halo expansion; Halo: Recon is shaping up to provide roughly 5 hours of single player fun. No word on how many new multiplayer maps are going to be included with the package.
Finish the fight! For really, real this time!
Of course, the news of such a short single player campaign may be a bitter pill to swallow for most fans of the series, but like most dark clouds, this one has a silver lining as well. Staten couldn’t give any solid pricing information for the package, but he did say Bungie doesn’t look at Recon as a full $60 title.
So what does all this mean for Halo fans? Not much really. Recon is shorter than some of us were expecting, but it’s cheaper too, so I guess it all evens out in the end.
More on Recon as information becomes available.
